The School of Peace and Conflict Studies is accepting applications for May 4th Legacy Scholarships, which are available to Peace and Conflict Studies majors who are beginning or continuing their studies.  There are four scholarships available in the amount of $3,000 each.  These scholarships were established in memory of the students killed at Kent State on May 4th 1970: Allison Krause, Jeffrey Miller, Sandra Scheuer and William Schroeder.  The deadline for applications is April 4, 2023.  For more information about these scholarships, go to /spcs/may-4th...

3. Cap, Gown and Tassel Packages

Kent State graduates wear a black cap and gown. Your tassel color is determined by the university college that offers your degree. You can purchase a gown or borrow one from a friend. The only requirement is that your cap and gown must be black.

Caps, gowns and tassels can be purchased from the Regional Campus Bookstore located at the Stark Campus. Orders should be placed before April 4. Orders placed after April 11 may incur a late fee and sizes may be limited.
