Roseann “Chic” Canfora, Ph.D., is a Professional-in-Residence at ��㴫ý in the School of Media and Journalism, part of the College of Communication and Information. Prior to teaching at Kent State, Canfora served as the chief communications officer for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and taught high school journalism and speech. Canfora was also a student at Kent State, starting in 1968, and is a survivor of the May 4, 1970, shootings at Kent State. Jones—now the longest-serving principal player in the orchestra’s history—is the 2021 recipient of The Cleveland Orchestra’s Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her outstanding artistic achievements and contributions to music and education throughout the region. November is Native American Heritage Month and ��㴫ý’s School of Art is proud to host a solo exhibition and additional events with Native American artist, Dakota Mace, to celebrate. To kick off the month, the School of Art Collection and Galleries will present “Dakota Mace: Badahani” which translates to “Their Stories” from Nov. 5 through Dec. 18, 2021 at the KSU Downtown Gallery.
