What’s it like to study in Los Angeles?
The School of Fashion's LA Study Tour will immerse students in the West Coast world of design with a focus on fashion. These strategic moments of connection with the professional design world will expose students to diverse modes of contemporary design practice. Students will learn to think critically and opportunistically, and to see design innovation as a creative cultural force. This course is designed for both fashion design and merchandising students.
How can studying in Los Angeles help your career development?
Students will tour fashion design studios, visit production facilities, sustainable fashion companies, and can engage directly with leading fashion designers, creative agency principals, merchandising coordinators and studio owners. Students will also explore museums, galleries and related innovative architectural projects enhancing the students' understanding of the relationship of fashion design with architecture and art as major influences. Students will have the opportunity to experience Los Angeles as a global center of fashion.
