Comprehensive Evaluation Update
In April 2025, Kent state underwent a comprehensive site visit as part of its ten-year reaffirmation accreditation process. In preparation for this visit, an assurance argument exceeding 35,000 words was created, and evidence was collected to support the narrative. More than 200 faculty, staff and students participated in open forums to discuss the institution’s strengths, priorities and opportunities. This visit reflects a thorough evaluation of the university’s mission, integrity and institutional effectiveness. Kent State has had its accreditation reaffirmed by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), ensuring the institution meets high national standards in academic quality and operations through 2034–2035.
